Abstract

• Many people (∼50%) discuss their dreams with others such as friends and family members. • Bad dream frequency was positively correlated with scores on the GAD-7 (anxiety) and PHQ-9 (depression). • Age and bad dream frequency predicted, with 78% accuracy, whether a participant will score ≥10 on the PHQ-9, likely qualifying for a diagnosis of major depressive disorder.
