Abstract

Infections due to extended - spectrum beta - lactamase producing bacteria pose a worldwide problem. The aim of our study was to determine the prevalence and resistance to antibiotics of extended - spectrum B lactamase producing bacteria in Mohamed V Military university hospital. The sensibility of enterobacteria ceace producing beta lactamase were isolated in all infectious sites. 73 (3,6%) were positive for extended - spectrum producing B lactamase. These bacteria were less sensitivive to gentamycine (26%) ciprofloxacin (32%) and cotrimoxazole (12%). But more sensitive to amikacin (77%) and imipinem (100%).
