Abstract
Introduction: Infectious complications play a prominent role in pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) postoperative course. Its incidence increases in cases with preoperative biliary drainage due to the increased risk of bacterobilia. We present a series of PD with systematic intraoperative bile culture (IBC) studying the relationship between cultures results and incidence of postoperative complications.
