Abstract

We analyze how the backscattering of an H-polarized plane wave from circular dielectric rod is modified by conformal infinite graphene strip of arbitrary angular width and angular placement. In the core of our treatment, there is a hypersingular electric-field integral equation where the unknown function is the current on the strip. WE solve this equation using the Nystrom-type discretization. This guarantees the convergence of the obtained results. We present the normalized backward scattering cross-section (BSCS) versus the rod radius and the frequency in wide range from 0 to 3 THz. At several frequencies in this range, we plot BSCS as a function of the strip orientation angle.
