Abstract
Backscattered electron images of a Tl-Ba-Ca-Cu-O superconductor, prepared utilizing the reaction Tl2O2+ BaCuO2+ Ca2CuO3, and of a Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O super-conductor have been obtained. It is shown that the superconducting phase in a Tl-Ba-Ca-Cu-O ceramic consists of flat needle crystals, while that in a Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O ceramic consists of stratified crystals
