Abstract
Improving community health status requires joint efforts of all walks of life. Kind of job is one of the factors that influence the degree of health, especially for fishermen. The activity of fishermen who often do work in a Accepted (di isi oleh editor) dynamic position causes complaints on the back muscles of the back. This community service activity aims to increase public knowledge about low back pain and how to overcome it in fishing communities on the coast of Surabaya, namely Sukolilo Baru Village, Bulak District, Surabaya City. The method of activity is in the form of health education about low back pain and the provision of low back pain exercises, as well as blood pressure measurements. Health education was delivered by STIKES Lecturer Hang Tuah Surabaya. The output based on the achievement of the implementation of the activity program is the change in knowledge, behavior, and awareness of the fishing community about low back pain. Coordination and collaboration with the local Puskesmas will improve the health status of fishing communities in the coastal areas of the City of Surabaya.
