Abstract

The back cover picture shows a novel bioorthogonal‐activated fluorescent turn‐on probe based on strain‐promoted alkyne‐nitrone cycloaddition (SPANC). The spiro rearrangement products originating from nitrone‐alkyne cycloadducts exhibited hundreds‐fold fluorescence enhancement, large Stokes shift and high fluorescence quantum yield. More importantly, this strategy was successfully applied for labeling proteins in vitro as well as mitochondria in living cells with high signal‐to‐noise ratio under catalyst‐free and no‐wash conditions.
