The reduction results in metal nanoparticle formation in the size range of 5–8 nm in the pores of PSi. Hybrid Pt/porous silicon (Pt/PSi) nanocomposites exhibit a high catalytic activity for CO oxidation in microreactors. Sergej Polisski is a second year Ph.D. student at the University of Bath, UK, working on properties and applications of PSi in catalysis. Volume2, Issue3June 2008 RelatedInformation
