Abstract

Extensive computational and statistical analysis revealed six plasma proteins associated with clinical coronary artery disease (CAD). When combined with markers currently used in the clinic, the proposed statistical ensemble can improve the diagnosis of blood vessels health to determine who among an at-risk population has developed CAD. The joint contribution of proteins and clinical features can predict CAD classes with an area under the receiver operating curve (AUC) of 0.84. This is reported by Mohammad A. Anwar, Darlene Liying Dai, Janet Wilson-McManus, Derek Smith, Gordon A. Francis, Christoph H Borchers, Bruce M. McManus, John S. Hill, Gabriela V. Cohen Freue in article 1700111.
