Abstract

DOI: 10.1002/elps.202200134 The cover picture shows elimination of light chain (LC) tailing during reducing capillary gel electrophoresis analysis of mAb-A by replacing sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) with a more hydrophobic surfactant sodium hexadecyl sulfate (SHS). The LC-SDS complexes tend to dissociate, forming a series of complexation states with different degrees of negative charge, which ultimately leads to peak tailing. Due to the higher hydrophobicity of SHS, the LC-SHS complexes are more stable and uniform than LC-SDS complexes, so the dissociation of LC-SHS complexes is dramatically reduced.
