Abstract

A universal dual photoredox catalysis platform based on metal–organic polymers synergistically constructed with triphenylpyrylium mimic ligands and reductive metal ions is reported by Yunhe Jin, Chunying Duan et al. in their Research Article (DOI: 10.1002/anie.202204918). This novel strategy enables integration of photoinduced electron transfer and ligand-to-metal charge transfer events, and spatial and kinetic confinement effects of structurally confined pores for enhanced efficiency in photocatalysis of various organic couplings and molecular oxygen activation.
