Cracks are formed while thermally cycling between 20°C and 200°C. The joint was imaged using x-ray microtomography to characterize crack growth nondestructively. Purple represents cracks and pores in the joint before thermally cycling. New cracks were observed after 300 cycles (Yellow), 500 cycles (Green), 1000 cycles (red) and 3000 cycles (cyan).
