Abstract

Bacillus Calmette Guerin (BCG) is widely used for prevention of recurrence and progression in non-muscle invasive urinary bladder cancers. However, it is associated with tolerable adverse events ranging from low-grade fever to lower urinary tract symptoms. While majority of complications are minor and local, systemic involvement warrants early treatment with antitubercular agents. Involvement of glans penis is rare with only few cases reported in the literature. We report one such case of BCG balanitis in a 64-year-old male treated with intravesical BCG for non-muscle invasive urinary bladder cancer.
