Abstract
Extension of Babinet's principle in electromagnetic theory to an inhomogeneous anisotropic (with non-zero off-diagonal terms) resistive sheet is made. Different methods are employed for this purpose so that a better understanding can be gained. Some basic properties of electromagnetic waves, such as their odd and even symmetry, are also reviewed for clarity of presentation. Some errors in previously published results are also corrected.
