Abstract
İranî halklardan biri olan Soğdlar, Eski Türklerle sıkı ticari, siyasi, kültürel, dinî temaslar içinde olmuş ve İslam öncesi Türk devlet ve topluluklarına derinden tesir etmiş bir halktır. 10. yüzyıldan itibaren tarih sahnesinden kaybolan bu halk, bilhassa ticari etkinlikleri ile tanınmıştır. Eski Türklerin Budizm, Maniheizm gibi dinleri benimsemesinden, Uygur alfabesinin kullanılmasına kadar tarihimizde yer etmişlerdir. Bu nedenle Türklerle iç içe yaşamış Soğdların dili, kültürü ve tarihi üzerine yapılan ve yapılacak çalışmalar Türkoloji çalışmaları için de önem arz etmektedir. Bu yazıda Türk-Soğd ilişkileri üzerine yapılmış önemli bir yayının değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır.
