Abstract
Two-dimensional submerged water jets have been visualized by two kinds of methods, i.e. a method of using hydrogen bubbles and one of tracing small solid particles. The flow characteristics are investigated systematically. On the strength of the results of visualization experiments, the flow can be classified into some typical patterns, depending on the flow conditions.
