Abstract

This paper gives an overview of the anticipated B-physics programme in the LHC experiments, covering the general-purpose experiments ATLAS and CMS, as well as the dedicated B-physics experiment LHCb. After discussing general aspects of B-physics at the LHC compared to other facilities and introducing the detectors, some issues that are common to the three experiments are addressed. Examples of B-physics performance studies are then presented to illustrate the rich set of measurements that will be possible at the LHC including CP-violation, B 0 B 0 oscillations and rare-decay studies.
