B decays into charm at CLEO

Abstract

Recent measurements of the branching fractions and helicity amplitudes of the decays B–→ D⋆ 0 ρ– and ${\bar B}^0 \to D^{\star +} \rho^{-}$ by the CLEO collaboration are presented. The fraction of longitudinal polarization in the ${\bar B}^0 \to D^{\star +} \rho^{-}$ decay is found to be consistent with the factorization hypothesis, although the helicity amplitudes show evidence for nonzero final-state interaction phases.
