Abstract

Class-switch recombination (CSR) provides diverse effector functions to B cells. In this issue of Immunity, Roco etal. (2019) refute long-standing dogma that germinal centers are the principal location for CSR; instead, CSR predominantly occurs early post immunization and declines during germinal center formation.
