Abstract

Randomized clinical trials have not shown a mortality benefit with mechanical circulatory assist device (MCD) use in cardiogenic shock, however there is little data on MCD use in cardiac arrest. The purpose of this retrospective study is to identify if the use of MCD is associated with a lower in-hospital mortality in admissions with ventricular tachycardia/fibrillation (VT/VF) and non-VT/VF cardiac arrest.
