Abstract

Azerbaijan has achieved significant economic development in recent years mainly due to the oil and gas sector. However, the government is also working towards diversification and regional economic development through various policies and initiatives. The regions of Azerbaijan have different economic characteristics, some are more developed than others. Regional economic growth has been hindered by the lack of diversification, uneven distribution of economic activity and lack of infrastructure. The government has implemented policies and initiatives such as special economic zones, investment incentives and infrastructure development programs to promote regional economic development. More needs to be done to solve the problems facing the regions. The government should prioritize infrastructure development, promote public-private partnerships and encourage regional cooperation to promote sustainable and inclusive economic development. In short, in the article, the analysis and assessment of regional economic development in Azerbaijan was studied, the main issues in the modern era were touched upon, and a detailed analysis of the topic was carried out with a modern approach.
