Abstract

In order to obtain better insight into the electron exchange processes in ion-alkali halide surfaces interactions, we performed azimuthal determinations of the charge fractions resulting from impact of 4 keV neon, sodium and fluorine positive ions on NaCl (1 0 0) surfaces. In this paper the variations of the charge fractions of sodium and chlorine direct recoils are analysed in term of inelastic interactions with large impact parameters along the trajectories of the recoiling particles.
