Abstract

The azimuth angle distribution of a group of particles forming a diffused cone of cosmic-ray jets with the energy greater than 1011 eV and withNh≤1 has been analysed. The distribution shows the azimuth asymmetry. The asymmetry may be attributed to the emission of an isobar or a meson resonance with a transverse velocity\(\tilde \beta _f = 0.4 \div 0.65\) to the direction of motion of the primary. The upper limit of the value of the transverse momentum of those groups of particles in the diffused cone deduced from the azimuth-angle asymmetry is ≈1.0 GeV/c to ≈3.0 GeV/c.
