Abstract
The recent decision by Azimut Yachts to switch from hand laminating to closed moulding could be a major watershed for both the reinforced plastics industry and the marine industry. As Europe's biggest motor yacht manufacturer and the world's largest producer of luxury motor yachts over 24 m, Azimut's move will be watched with interest by other major builders.
