Abstract
Being located in an important geographical area, Azerbaijan had great importance in China-Europe trade throughout history. In recent years rapid growth in China and high valued export to Europe has increased the significance of Azerbaijan as a transit country. Not only China-Europe trade, but also mutual trade between China and neighboring Turkey, Georgia, Black Sea countries increase the significance of Azerbaijan as a transit country. Based on www.comtrade.un.org source China has had 400 billion US dollar (50 million tons) export to Europe-28 countries, 19 billion US dollar (5.8 million tons) export to Turkey, 697 million US dollar (0.1 million tons) export to Azerbaijan, 908 million US dollar (0.4 million ton) export to Georgia in 2014. Opening of “BAKU-TBILISI-KARS” railway and “ZHEZKAZGAN-BEYNEU” railway acting substantiate Azerbaijan to be a transit country in further future in China-Europe corridor.
