Ayurvedic Herbal Remedies against Corona Pandemic Respiratory Infections caused by Novel Corona Virus-2019

Abstract

Presently when world is facing medicinal crisis against Covid-19 and corona virus cases and deaths are still rising. Some corona viruses are responsible for respiratory infections ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as middle east respiratory syndrome (MERS-2003) and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS-2012). The most recently discovered latest novel strain of corona virus (nCoV-2019) causes viral pandemic respiratory syndrome (VPRS-2019) disease in human which is also publically known as COVID-19. Advanced research and technology are needed to find some solution to prevent the spread and cure for human infected by novel corona virus. Number of antiviral ayurvedic herbs and plants are known that can be used for prevention and potential recovery if a viral infection does occur. The medicinal importance of ayurvedic herbs is mentioned in Ayurveda. The ancient healthcare practitioners (Rishi Muni) used these herbs for curing ailments and recommended for remedy. The literature survey reveals that some antiviral herbs are well known to improve health in respiratory tract viral infections. In this context we have tried to prepare a relevant Herbal combination to control and cure human beings from novel strain of corona virus (nCoV-2019). This combination can protect from infection and will help to cure the disease.
