Abstract

The chapter proposes to bring forth the need for holistic development of the students which relies on the quality standards of the educational organisations imparting education. Academic organisations need to be well versed with augmented reality-based learning technologies for imparting class communicative and professional skills. A theoretical approach to the study of awareness towards augmented reality based tools for quality assurance in higher education for holistic development of students has been adopted. Extensive study of literature and previous practices has been carried out with respect to use of AR tools for quality assurance in higher education. Content analysis has been used as a research tool for the study. A thorough and in-depth literature review has been referred for studying the awareness towards AR-based quality assurance in higher education for holistic development of students. There is a need to generate more awareness towards AR-based quality assurance tools in higher education for holistic development of students. There is a race of competitiveness for business reasons which can be constructively moulded towards the real growth of the students by enhancing the quality of the education imparted. By using content analysis, an in-depth and systematized analysis of contents was done to bring forth the need of real quality assurance in higher education for holistic development and growth of its students.
