Awareness, importance, and satisfaction of digital information resources among the library users of IIT Bombay and IIT Guwahati

Abstract

The libra ry is the h ea rt of an institute, which disseminates the knowledge through improved methods of communication to meet the information thrust of its users by providing the required information in no time. The tremendous advancement in information and communication technology (ICT) means have brought a revolutionary change in the information scenario giving rise to some options to handle varied information sources conveniently and effortlessly. The result is that the e-resources/digital resources have become the most desired resources by the users in a contemporary library. The convergence of computers, telecommunication, multimedia, the internet, and network helped in the development of the digital library.
