Abstract

Jellani Bano is an important reference among women writers in the subcontinent. She contributed as a short story writer, playwright and novelist. She presented social issues and inequalities in her writings. Her novel “Aiwan-e-Ghazal”depicts the political , social and cultural changes and issues that took place in State of Hyderabad before and after independence. The novel deals with the political turmoil and chaos of Indian society before the partition. In which the fall of Hyderabad has been portrayed by presenting the cultural crisis, the superiority of the feudal class and social issues. These factors will be examined in the research under review.
