Abstract

The fractured dolomite rock is favorable for oil and gas accumulation, which is usually characterized by strong anisotropy. Based on the basic rule of AVAZ, the characteristics of fractured reservoir could be predicted from seismic data. A special algorithm of pre-stack anisotropic inversion with limit azimuth is proposed as an economic method. The distribution of fractured dolomite reservoir of Leijia area in Liaohe western depression is predicted through the anisotropic fracture inversion as well as the statistic analysis and variation of dolomite content in the target interval. Seismic data, well data and fault features of Es_4 are combined to support inverted results (fracture density and orientation). Compared with the already-known information, the results are proved to be reliable and could serve as a sound basis for further exploration of the dolomite fractured reservoir in this area, which indicates the feasiblilty of this algorithm for fracture prediction.
