Abstract

Successful job placement of aviation management graduates is highly beneficial to university aviation management programs as well as organizations that offer positions to aviation management graduates. A critical aspect of job placement involves understanding the preferences and perceptions of students and employers regarding jobs. This paper reports the results of a survey of undergraduate aviation management students from four universities regarding their preferences and perceptions vis-a-vis employment. Results provided include a demographic profile of the respondents, their organization/functional area preferences and their perspectives on selected job selection factors and issues.
