Abstract

Background: In spite of the well-known health risks of smoking tobacco, many smokers struggle to quit. Recently, a variation of aversive therapy has been introduced in the form of a wearable wristband with a self-administered electric stimulus. As a novel device, there is a lack of published data regarding its feasibility and acceptability as an aversive therapy modality for smoking cessation. Objective: To assess the acceptability and feasibility of this device with smoking caregivers of pediatric patients.
