Abstract

Dual active bridge converter is one of the examples for nonlinear time-varying system. This paper narrates mathematical model of bidirectional converter with the galvanic isolation. The control-to-output transfer function has been established with the help of state space average method for both modes of operation. The nonlinear mathematical model has been converted to a linear model by state space average method. The open loop transfer function has been derived for both the mode of operations. The compensation has been subjected to an open loop system. The PI parameters were adjusted from the state space analysis. The effectiveness of the proposed converter is verified with the help of the simulation tool PSIM. Bode plot has been plotted to verify the stability of the proposed system.
