Abstract

This paper presents the mathematical model of practical DC-DC converters using state space analysis. The work illustrates the effect of coil resistance on the output voltage of Buck converter and Boost converter. For checking the validity of the mathematical model, it has been compared to the existing Buck Converter and Boost Converter based models of MATLAB Simulink. The small-signal analysis of DC-DC converters aids in the steady-state determination of the operating point of high gain DC-DC converters.
