Abstract

The average level crossing rate and average fade duration of a maximal ratio diversity combiner, operating on independent, unequal power Rayleigh fading branches in isotropic scattering, are derived in closed-form for dual-branch diversity, and as definite integrals for threefold and fourfold diversity.
