Abstract
Embora sobejamente tratado na literatura educacional recente, volta-se ao tema gestão democrática da educação básica para analisar a sua relação/inter-relação com a avaliação educacional na regulação jurídico-legal brasileira vigente. O objetivo é derivar questões de interesse para a avaliação dessas práticas, destacar o lugar/não-lugar da avaliação na gestão democrática delineada nessa regulação e ressaltar a importância da concepção de democracia na configuração de ambas as práticas.
