Abstract

For the success of the oral rehabilitation treatment with the use of bone dental implants, many factors are relevant. The diagnosis by images is one of the most important steps. Many are the methods by images available for the evaluation of the alveolar ridge, and the computed tomography has shown itself as the most accurate. Among the many types of computed tomography, the multislice of 64 detectors represents one of the most recent advances in the diagnosis field. The accomplishment of this work, through clinical cases reports, intends to demonstrate the relevance of the use of computed tomography for the alveolar ridge, avoiding iatrogenic procedures.
