Avaliação de empresas públicas nos países em desenvolvimento: a perspectiva social

Abstract

14.00 The primary goal of this article is to suggest some ways leading to an evaluation of public enterprises. The author starts by calling attention to fact that absence of an ampler understanding and uniformity, as regards concept of public enterprise, is in itself one of problems - if not most important one - that hinder evaluating of such enterprises. He studies question endeavoring to stress problem of social responsibility of these companies, arguing that now, more than ever and in face of contemporary premises, public enterprises has to take into account interests of a social nature, traditional production of goods and services being insufficient as its only concern. As a final observation, author presents several personal deductions, all of them gravitating around idea that the social responsibility of a public enterprises has to be defined out enterprise itself.
