Abstract
A model which has main and secondary subsystems subject to shut-off rules is considered. In this model, the system has a single repair facility. The repair discipline that the main subsystem has the pre-emptive repeat priority is considered. Constant failure rate and general repair time distributions are assumed. The system availability is obtained by using the linear ordinary differential equation method and supplementary variable technique.
