Abstract

Over 50 percent of the world's population lives in urban areas today, the proportion is expected to increase to nearly 70 percent in near future. An autonomous vehicle services are likely to be adopted in dense urban areas. Some research prove, that autonomous transport might be capable of improving the transport needs of few times and as a consequence sustainability, congestion and safety may be improved. The world, hopefully is close to a transport revolution age. These studies are perhaps exaggerated, over-optimistic and far from fully operational, but the research direction should be noticed. A drone transport may be an evidence. The paper takes into account some aspects of autonomous vehicle navigation in a global context, that means in the context of Global Navigation Satellite Systems and introduce a new approach to a position calculation in the urbanized areas using that global navigational system.
