Abstract

Autonomic denervation dermatitis, a newly described dermatological entity, has been introduced to describe eczematous dermatitis at the site of surgical incision and adjoining skin after a varying lag period. This characteristic cutaneous sequela has been described following various surgical procedures like total knee replacement, saphenous vein graft harvesting, and open fracture reduction. We seek to familiarize surgeons with this under-reported localized post-operative surgical site cutaneous sequela.
