Abstract
Automotive radar systems have been in production for around ten years, although the technology — like other Driver Assistent Systems (DAS) are still in their infancy. With the number of traffic fatalities remaining high and consequent future legislation from the EU, manufacturers are faced with developing active safety systems at reduced cost while meeting regulatory. With a wealth of experience in the radar market, TRW currently off two radar sensors which address a range of customer and market requirements.
