Abstract
The measurement distance and velocity indexes of linear frequency modulated continuous wave (LFMCW) radar are put forward by analyzing the relationship between safe distance and relative velocity. According to the measurement range and resolution the signal processing technical indexes are constituted. The restrictions between radar front ends parameters, measurement indexes and signal processing technical indexes are analyzed. Based on beat frequency and Doppler frequency range and their coupling relation the requirements of central frequency and modulation frequency are given. The relation between measurement resolution and frequency resolution is studied based on time-frequency analysis. By mediating and modifying key parameters and adapting CZT algorithm to optimize signal processing parameters the framing method and steps of radar system parameters are constituted.
