Automation of leather coating process

Abstract

Generally, the leather goods which we use nowadays needs to cross many stages and process to get moulded into perfect shape which is suitable for human usage. The leather goods production process causes many harmful diseases to labour working in that industry. So, the main process in leather production is coating of colour to the surface of leather before coating colour it should be coated with harmful chemicals and that process is called “Padding process”. So, people need to dip the brush in chemicals with hands and polish over the entire surface of the leather due to this those harmful chemicals stick to their hands and it’s hard to wash off. People after their work need to eat food with those hands which cause them various digestive problem and while inhaling these chemicals for long time in those type of industry causes them lung diseases and finally leads to cancer. The main aim is to make this padding process a automated process with less human intervention.
