Abstract

The automation industry in the construction sector has been a very important pillar for the planning and constant control of fibers to improve the mechanical properties of earth blocks. The present work implements automation as a way to obtain fiber from Agave americana L, thus achieving improvements in the mechanical properties of the soil blocks using fiber dosages of 0%, 0.25%, 0.5%, 0.75% and 1%, these were expressed with respect to the total weight of the sample. On the other hand, for the Agave americana L. fiber process, LadVIEW software was used to simulate the automation, where an HMI screen is located, this uses a shredding machine to obtain 2 products, either fiber or juice of Agave Americana L. This final product is transported by conveyor belts to their respective warehouses. Finally, the optimal dosages in the improvement of the mechanical properties were given by using 0.25% of Agave fiber increasing in 13.39% (2.54MPa) the compressive strength, on the other hand, using 1% of Agave fiber the tensile strength increased in 39.13% (0.32MPa) and 0.5% of Agave fiber increased in 14.26% (1.44MPa) the flexural strength.
