Abstract

This paper designed an automatic tracking solar lights based on microcontroller, mainly by the solar panels, solar auto-tracking controller, batteries, lights and other components. Through the solar sensor circuit, convert solar energy into electrical signals by the single-chip computer to control the sampling signal analysis and processing, output control commands to control the stepper motor rotating solar panels, so that automatic tracking solar panels solar power solar panels to improve efficiency. Use of solar energy during the day by solar panels for battery charging, the battery discharge at night light up the LED lights. Single-chip computer, put the battery charging voltage control, a PWM output of the DC-DC converter control circuit for charging, the battery for three-stage charging, when the battery charging voltage is too high, automatically disconnect the charging circuit, when the battery discharge voltage is too low, automatically disconnect the discharge circuit, the battery overcharge protection, over discharge and short circuit the battery to protect, thereby increasing battery life and extend the use of time. The way the system can automatically track the solar lights solar, solar energy utilization increase, reducing the area of solar panels, low cost, reliable, high sensitivity, their power consumption characteristics.
