Abstract

Automatic submerged-arc welding using a pulsed wire feed mechanism developed on the basis of a stepping motor is discussed. The results of investigations of the effect of the conditions of pulsed wire feed on the processes of droplet formation at the tip of the electrode, the geometrical parameters of the deposited bead and the surfacing factor are presented.
