Abstract

Old steel tapespsila cutting system was semiautomatic. Zero scale collimation, the key technology in this system was realized by human eyes. It had these defects: low productivity, unstable precision and high labor intensity. Enterprises that produce measuring instruments wanted to use a new technology to replace this kind of collimation method, in order to realize the full automation of steel tapespsila cutting system. Automatic steel tapepsilas cutting system which was based on video graduation could meet this need. In this new system, conveying course of tapes was dived into two stages: quick conveying stage and slow conveying for collimation under the control of KT700A-a kind of single axle numerical controller. They were both realized by servomotor. After quick conveying stage, zero scale was conveyed to the collimation position quickly, the conveying error was plusmn2mm. At the slow conveying stage, tapes could convey to the cutting position slowly and precisely under the supervisory control by electric collimation module. Dynamical collimation included three contents: position identification, dynamic scanning and automatic collimation. The speed of production is 2-3s/one, and precision is 0.1mm, the cutting quality of this system is accepted by tools enterprises. Market prospects are good.
