Abstract

The restructuring (deregulation) of electric power systems is subject of extensive studies during last years. The automatic generation control (AGC) has a significant role in restructured systems ensuring realisation of electricity trading contracts. It is a one of ancillary services and it is of great importance in real time electricity market. The AGC processes in international electricity market were investigated. The methods of modelling and simulation were used. The analysis of cases oriented for solving problems arising in countries with transit economy (for example Lithuania) where restructuring is at very beginning.
