Abstract

The tunnel is prone to traffic congestion, because the tunnel environment is single, low light, semi-closed, so that the driver's speed perception ability is weakened. On the uphill road, the traffic resistance increases, which may cause the vehicle to slow down. As the driver's speed perception is weakened, it is difficult to detect the decrease in speed, leading to the driver's unconscious deceleration. At present, the driver's speed perception ability is mainly improved by improving the tunnel environment, but the effect is limited. This paper introduces an automatic deceleration alarm system for mountain tunnel. When the analysis detects an unconscious deceleration, the voice prompts the driver to accelerate. The system mainly consists of gyroscope angle sensor, speed sensor and voice reminder. The angle sensor of gyroscope is used to measure the slope, and the speed sensor is used to detect the speed, fit the speed change curve, and compare it with the speed change diagram of the driver's unconscious deceleration at the slope, so as to judge whether the vehicle is in the state of unconscious deceleration. If the vehicle is not in the state of unconscious deceleration, the driver will not be given a voice prompt, otherwise the driver will be given a voice prompt. The research shows that the system can reduce the dispersion of vehicle speed in the tunnel, obtain higher vehicle flow, improve the capacity of the tunnel, and reduce the exit congestion time by 10%~20% on average.
